Winter Lights is Santa Rosa's destination for season long holiday fun! It all starts the day after Thanksgiving in Downtown Santa Rosa’s Old Courthouse Square with the Annual Tree Lighting Celebration.
Tree Lighting Celebration
It all kicks off the day after Thanksgiving with the Tree Lighting Celebration on Courthouse Square. Family friendly activities, live entertainment, delicious holiday drinks and treats, photos with Santa, and of course the official lighting of the Courthouse Square tree with a skating show by Redwood Ice Theatre Company and everyone’s favorite beagle, Snoopy! It’s all part of this FREE community celebration!
Skating on the Square
Lace up your skates and glide across the Skating on the Square synthetic, zero-energy ice rink—an eco-friendly option that uses no water or electricity while providing a smooth, stable surface perfect for beginners or those looking to improve their skills, with skate helpers available for extra support to ensure everyone can join in the fun.
Skating Rink Hours (open rain or shine)
- Thursdays & Fridays — 4 to 8 pm
- Saturdays & Sundays — 12 to 8 pm*
*special hours on December 24th & 31st
